Introductory Big Wall Tracking 

Course Outline

Day 0:  Check in

Arrival: 4 hours

Students and instructors meet at Brento. Travel time from Malpensa airport to Brento is approximately 4 hours.

Orientation to site: 2 hours

Preview of landing and packing area, tour of alternate landing areas

Introduction:  Lecture, 1 hour

Introduction to jumping at Monte Brento, including procedure, local rules and orientation to exit point and flight line

BASE Tracking:  Lecture, 30 minutes

Fundamentals of BASE tracking, and differences between BASE and skydive tracking objectives and techniques

Days 2-4:  Training Jumps

Training Jumps:  Monte Brento, 7 hours

Training days typically begin around 4am with jumping finishing around 11am.  Packing is done between loads.

Debrief and video review:  60 minutes

Days 4-5:  Training Progression Jumps

Training Jumps:  Monte Brento, 7 hours

Training days typically begin around 4am with jumping finishing around 11am.  Packing is done between loads.

Alternate Progression Jumps:  Variable times

As students progress and demonstrate skill development, some will be invited to jump other objects, as a step to progressing toward intermediate tracking skills necessary to jump in Lauterbrunnen.

Debrief and video review:  60 minutes

Day 6:  Free Jumping Day and Travel Day

Optional Jumps:  Monte Brento, 7 hours

We typically end the course with an optional day of post course jumping in which instructors and students make fun jumps together.
